TEAM QATAR SKYDIVERS CROWED WORLD CHAMPIONS

The Qatar parachute jump team, affiliated to the Qatar Air Sports Committee at the Joint Special Forces, achieved remarkable results in the World Parachuting Championships that concluded in Russia’s Tanay region on Friday.

A total of 30 countries participated in the event.
The achievements were dedicated to the wise leadership and people of the country.

The champions were presented their medals on Friday evening at the closing ceremony of the championships, in the presence of representatives of the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) and other officials.

Qatar’s team which included Abdullah Hani, Saeed Al Kuwari, Hassan Al Malki, Ali Al Marri and Saleh Al Kuwari, won the gold medal in competition on Wednesday. Team Russia won the silver medal while Belarusian team won bronze.

Qatar also won the silver medal in the Two-way Sequential Canopy Formation competition where the Qatar ‘A’ team came in second place with 220 points.
