To make Qatar roads safer, the Ministry of Interior has stated “Starting September 3, 2023, the General Directorate of Traffic will implement automated monitoring for traffic violations of not wearing a seat belt and using a mobile phone while driving,” the Ministry said in a statement.
Surveillance measures will be in effect 24/7 to monitor traffic violations. The Ministry also called on motorists to adhere to traffic rules to ensure safety.
