The Qatar Professional Football League Development Committee set up in December 2006 by Qatar foundation is all set for its 2020 session outplaying the pandemic & following the guidelines stated by the Ministry of Public Health Qatar. Before we feature the fixtures lets dig a little history of the tournament.
-The ambition was to fulfill Asian Football Confederation’s requirement as a professional league.
-Leading the new era of professional football in Qatar, after 2006 was eventually turned into what is known as the Qatar Stars League (QSL) in 2008.
-QSL manages all commercials, broadcast, marketing, ticketing & administrative matters relating to the league & its 12 clubs from the very beginning.
– Recent winners of the championship were Al Sadd Sports Club, the most historically- successful team in the league are also Al Sadd with 14 shields to their credit.
VISION is to be in the top 3 leagues in Asia by 2020.
