In a recent announcement, Ooredoo has affirmed that it will reprise its role as Diamond Sponsor for the annual Camel Racing Festival. The event is designed to showcase Gulf and Qatari culture and preserve Qatar’s heritage for coming generations.
The Camel Racing Festival will be held until April 1, 2021, at Al Shahaniyah Camel Race Track. It is one of the most popular camel racing events in the region. It will have hundreds of trainers from Qatar and the Gulf region bringing thousands of camels to compete.
The Camel Racing festival will feature a schedule of races run over a range of distances. The final race, considered the most prestigious, will have the winner being awarded the sword from the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
