To alleviate the pressure on frontline workers of PHCC, now people will have to go to MoPH approved Health Centres for Covid-19 Test to travel abroad. The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has temporarily stopped the provision of COVID-19 PCR swabs for people traveling abroad, they said in a statement on their social media.
Front line workers of PHCC health centers and medical teams have been an integral part of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program. They have been working round the clock to provide COVID-19 swabs for anyone who shows signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
PHCC further stated, “The decision has been made to temporarily transfer the provision of COVID-19 PCR swabs, for people travelling abroad, to private healthcare facilities. When the second wave is suppressed and pressure is eased on PHCC healthcare teams, this important service will resume at primary health centers,”.
Please note List of Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) approved 44 health centres in the country that can conduct PCR test for the novel coronavirus.
