After months of closure Doha Festival City will reopen its theme park for public, it announced recently. The theme parks will open for public from 11th January as per official guidelines by the government with phase-wise reopening of amusement parks and other recreational activities in Qatar.
The theme parks Angry Bird World, Snow Dunes and Virtuocity are ready to host visitors after several month of closure due to COVID19. For now as per the guidelines the park will be adhering to 50% capacity as DFC is committed to delivering excellent and safe entertainment services as per Qatari operator Leisure.
This is merely the first phase as per officials and by the third phase outdoor playgrounds and kid’s outdoor games shall be operational soon. The second phase will see more electronic games and trampolines added to the entertainment section.
The timing for the Leisure’s theme park would be 1 pm to 10 pm from Sunday to Wednesday, from 2 pm to 12 am. On Thursday and Friday, timings are from 11 am to 9 pm on Saturdays.Â
To keep operations smooth and safe, all precautionary measured will be ensured for all visitors. The theme park staff has been thoroughly trained and would conform to the protocols including Ehteraz App checks at the entrance for all visitors, excluding children. Only green code holders will be allowed in and temperature checks shall also be done. Anyone exceeding temperature of 38 Degrees Celsius will not be allowed at the premises. Wearing a mask on the premises will be mandatory.
Visitors will also have to keep a safe social distance of two meters.
With continuous sanitization, hand sanitization stations and social distancing signs installed across the theme parks, all measures are in place.
