Qatar Rail Company (Qatar Rail) denoted the third anniversary of Doha Metro, which has turned into a key transportation mode for the nation’s inhabitants and guests in Qatar.
Doha Metro has witnessed continuous growth since its launch. More than 1.5 million Travel Cards (Standard & Gold club) have been sold from day one up until March 2022.
Over three years, the metrolink route network has grown from 13 routes to 43 routes covering areas around metro stations. The metro express service currently covers 7 metro stations: DECC, West Bay – QE, Al Qassar, Katara, Legtaifiya and Qatar University, Al Waab QLM, in addition to 5 stations on the Orange Line at Lusail Tram.
Doha Metro has announced a special Third Anniversary Day Pass to show its appreciation to its customers.
Available on May 8, 9 and 10, 2022, the QR 3 day pass will be valid for paper tickets only and can be collected from Travel Card Vending Machines or gold club offices.
