Minister Of Culture & Sports H E Salah Bin Ghanem Nassar Al Ali opened the 29th Doha International Book Fair on 29th Nov, Thursday at Doha Exhibition and Convention centre. The 10 day exhibition will conclude on 8th December. Around 427 publishers from 30 Arab countries have participated this year. The participating publishing houses include Arab publishers, Children’s Book Publishers and Educational Book Publishers.
This is the first time Spain is participating the Book fair with the publishing house that specialises in Children’s Books and Embassy of Kyrgyz has also participated for the first time.
Under the theme ” Doha – A city of knowledge and Conscience” , the international book Fair has Russia as the Guest of Honor.
Many cultural events , Fine Arts Exhibitions and Children’s Theatre Shows will be conducted at the Fair.
Those who have not been to the Book Fair yet can visit at the following times:
Sunday to Wednesday & Saturday – 9 AM to 9 PM
Thursday – 9 AM to 10 PM
Friday – 4 PM to 10 PM
