Qatar has always been a pioneer to innovative technologies. This time it is a technology which will help beat the severe temperatures on the roads of Qatar. If you have been to Souq Waqif then there is a certain section of the road that has been painted blue. This is the Abdullah Bin Jassim Street. The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has been implementing a certain experimental project with a Japanese company, under which the asphalt roads are being painted blue to reduce the temperature of the road by a great margin. It looks gorgeous to the wanderer’s eye and everyone is waiting for it to open soon for a long walk.
