QATARI FOOTBALL PLAYER, ALMOEZ ALI APPOINTED UNESCO AMBASSADOR

Almoez Ali

Reputed organization, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has selected Qatari football player Almoez Ali as their ambassador. Ali will be the national ambassador for the organization from the State of Qatar to support the sport of football as a global heritage of humanity. Almoez is a part of Qatari football team and Al Duhail team.

He was chosen due to his exceptional performance and popularity in the country as well as the Gulf and Asia. The footballer played a key part in Qatar’s victory in 2019 AFC Asian Cup as he scored 9 goals and won player of the tournament award.

 He has been a top scorer of 2019 AFC Asian Cup and represents an aspirational image for the young people and inspires people to achieve success.

 The official signing ceremony of Almoez’s appointment as the ambassador was done in Doha. This happened in the presence of the French coach Arsene Wenger, who is also one of the organization’s ambassadors, and Princess Rani Vanouska Modely, the Ambassador delegate for the candidacy of football world heritage of humanity.
