1. Qatar has developed “For Qatar” National Volunteering Campaign to strengthen its response to COVID-19 outbreak. As per the Government Communications Office (GCO) , the responsibilities of the volunteers will support in medical and allied health practice, public health awareness and also in logistics. This information was shared in official twitter account of GCO as well. GCO further added that this campaign has been organized to make sure that Qatar’s resources are not strained at such crucial times.

2. In a novel gesture during this tough time Katara Cultural Village will distribute 5 tonnes of vegetables. Katara Cultural Village along with Katara Forum for Qatari Farmers and Qatar Red Crescent Society launched the campaign. Needy people can call on the phone numbers 55470558 and 55449862 and gain advantage from the campaign. As mentioned by Katara General Manager Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti “The campaign ‘Nuaino and Nowano’ (we support and cooperate) comes within a series of charitable and community initiatives and campaigns of Katara held in the past at many occasions, whether inside or outside Qatar.”

3. Good news for all going towards Al Wakra and Al Wukair. The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has recently opened up new underpass and bridge on Mesaimeer Interchange for traffic towards Al Wakra and Al Wukair from Industrial Area Road and E Ring Road in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic. This upderpass is 750 mtr and will provide free flow of traffic through Industrial Area Road towards Southern Part of Doha Expressway as well as the 560-m bridge linking traffic from the E Ring Road.
