MOPH GUIDELINES FOR PCR TEST AT LUSAIL DRIVE-THROUGH CENTRE

According  to  Ministry  of  Public  Health  (MoPH),  the  centre will only offer PCR tests and not Rapid Antigen Tests which are available at Primary Health   Care   Corporation   Health Centres.

It  is  open  from  8am  to  10pm   daily,   and   the   last   entrance  is  at  9pm.  When  coming to the drive-through centre,  make  sure  to  bring  your  Health  Card,  Qatar  ID,  wear a mask, and show your Ehteraz.

Visitors who does not have his own car can visit via taxi. The process cannot be completed on foot.

The  10-lane  centre  was  opened  which  is  located opposite Lusail Circuit. 

MoPH disclosed that the centre can conduct nasal swabs for up to 5,000 people per day.

Moreover, it will continue to  work  as  a  centre  for  PCR  examination services as long as the demand for it remains exceptionally high because of the Omicron variant

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) disclosed that the PCR testing at drive-through centre in Lusail is free for certain population groups.

The test is free for people 50 years and above with signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and who are close contacts with a confirmed cases and preoperative patients. Meanwhile, for pre-travel PCRs, an individual must provide his proof of travel and a fee of QR160 required to pay by credit card, no cash payments are allowed.

Results of PCR tests done will be delivered within 24 to 48 hours. The  person will receive a link through SMS that will allow him or her to print the result certificate via patient portal.

MoPH also added that the drive-through centre will not accommodate post-travel COVID-19 tests which are now all done by rapid antigen tests.

For people who will avail the PCR test at the said centre, he must bring a valid health card, and Ehteraz status should be green.

Moreover, it added that patients with a positive RAT results do not require a confirmatory PCR test and will not be accepted at the drive-through.

Also, maximum occupancy of four passengers are allowed in each vehicle and no buses will be accepted. And Lusail drive-through does not offer results who have recently been tested elsewhere. The Lusail drive-through centre is open daily from 8am to 10pm.
