Manushi Chhillar from India has won the Miss World beauty pageant for the year 2017. This victory knocks India after 17 years. Before Manushi, it was our very own Priyanka Chopra who brought the Miss World title in the year 2000. Stephanie Hill, who is from England was the first runner-up and Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was the second runner-up. Around 108 women from across the world partook in the beauty pageant and Ms. Chhillar, a 20-year-old girl from Haryana won Miss World. According to Ms. Chhillar’s profile on the Miss World website, Ms. Chhillar intentions to be a specialist in the cardiac surgeon and has plans of starting a non-profit hospital in rural provinces. Manushi Chhillar becomes the 67th Miss World and the sixth Indian contestant to win the title.
