LONG-TERM INDIAN RESIDENT BUSINESS PERSONS TO BE RECOGNIZED AT COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

Management of the Museum of Islamic Arts (MIA) in association with Indian Cultural Centre ICC and the Embassy of India have decided to felicitate/appreciate some of the Long Term NRI Businessmen in Qatar. The felicitation event will be during ICC’s upcoming flagship event, i.e.; Indian Community Festival with the theme “Passage to India 2020”. The venue for the event is Zone 2 and Zone 4 of the Museum of Islamic Arts Park on Thursday, Friday 16 & 17 January 2020. With regards to this, MIA has requested ICC to propose names with relevant details for the felicitation on the second day of the Festival at the venue.
A meeting was held at ICC with the Senior Community members and the Presidents of various Associate organizations of ICC, a Special Working Committee (SWC) was formed with K M Varghese (who is Chairman of the Advisory Board of ICC) as its Chairman. The six-member Committee has come together to formulate a framework. They have also decided to invite applications of self-nominations/nomination by others for review and shortlisting of the candidates for recognition.
As per directions by the ICC, candidates must complete the prescribed forms which are available at ICC upon request and submit the completed forms to the body on or before Wednesday 08 January 2020.
