The 17th Edition of the tournament will be hosted by Qatar between 4-11 February. Due to COVID19 pandemic, the tournament was delayed from its original schedule of December. FIFA World Cup 2022 matches will be held at 2 Stadiums : Ahmad Bil Ali and Education City. The maximum capacity at both venues will be 30 % due to precautionary measures.
There are multiple key advices given by FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020 Local Organising Committee so that fans have a better journey. These include arriving early, respect social distancing, checkout temporary road restrictions around the venue.
Abdulaziz Al Mawlawi, the LOC’s Host Country Operations Director, has further clarified: “Our main message to fans is to plan ahead before you travel. Check the official channels and social media for any updates in relation to road closures, public transport and COVID-19 protocols.”
Doha Metro, car and taxi will be available for fans to travel to all matches. Stadium shall open three hours before kick-off of the match and parkings will be available simultaneously. Parking and taxi areas will be available from three hours before kick-off. Along with this Doha Metro will be running a full service each day.
