As we all know that times are difficult right now and we practice social distancing, it becomes even more important for us to take care of our health. As has been known, better immunity gives us a better chance to fight the COVID-19 infection. At this essential time, it is important for all of us to eat healthy to boost our immunity. Please find below food that can be included during Suhur and Iftar to make sure that our immunity stays high during the Holy Month of Ramadan too :
Make sure to include fresh foods everyday which includes fruits, vegetables, legumes, lentils, whole grains (wheat, brown rice, oats, corn, quinoa), milk products and lean protein choices (egg, chicken, fish, meat). Include good protein choices for Iftar and Suhur.
It is advisable to not have only processed foods, packed foods loaded with salt and sugar
It becomes important to have fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin B, C, E, A and D
