Doha International Book Fair saw the grand conclusion of Doha IOC Youth Capital 2019 on 16th January. The Ministry of Culture and Sports held the closing ceremony at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. The ceremony was attended by many dignitaries and Their Excellencies the Ministers and Ambassadors of various nations. This activity marked the culmination of ‘Doha — OIC Youth Capital 2019’ which were hosted in 2019 under the theme “Youth is the Power of the Nation”.

ABOUT IOC YOUTH CAPITAL 2019
Doha Oasis for Innovation was organized in cooperation with The Ministry of Culture and Sports and ICYF. There were many activities planned under the event by Ministry of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum. Together they announced organization of the activity ‘Doha Oasis for Innovation’ from September 14 to 20, 2019. The motto of the activity for 2019 was “The Youth is The Power of Nation”. This was done in collaboration with the Qatari Scientific Club and under the supervision of the Qatar Center for Cultural and Heritage Events.
Aim of the activity was to stimulate creativity among youth in the fields of invention and innovation. This consolidates a culture of science and work to achieve the demands of development and prosperity. Many competitions were held for youth and winners were declared in the following weeks.

CONCLUSION
The Closing ceremony concluded with speech by Minister of Culture and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and a speech from the representative of the Islamic Youth Forum. The representative of Daka, the new capital of Islamic youth for year 2020, also expressed its happiness. Daka was also handed the key for the next IOC Youth Capital 2019.

Winners and participants alike, agreed that the activities awakened the creativity of the youth of Doha. This extended to various fields like technical and innovative which combined together give wonderful results to benefit the Islamic world.
