FOOTBALL FEVER: MESAA ORGANIZES FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2019

MES Alumni Association (MESAA) is organizing the first ever Football Tournament  “FFC Presents MESF Football Tournament 2019” powered by Mission20 Events for their ex-students to bring back memories and reconnect. The tournament consists of 12 teams that would play for 6 weeks every Friday starting from 18th of October 2019 at MES Indian School Ground.

Ziad Usman, President of MESAA said: “There is nothing better to integrate our alumni than sports and what better game than Football. Football has been an integral part of our school life and we aim to recreate the nostalgia. We also aim to support the Human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030 which promotes participation in a wide variety of cultural and sports activities.”

MES Alumni Association (MESAA) consisting of ex-students of MES Indian School (MES) was first started in 2006 with like-minded alumni coming together under the aegis of the MES Youth association (MESYA). MES Indian School, Doha established in 1974 is one of the premier educational institutions in the Middle-East and the oldest and largest Indian school in Qatar.

Along with the hardworking tournament committee, the MESAA Management Committee had played a key role in reviving the MES Alumni through this tournament .The committee comprises of Ziad Usman , President ; Akbar Ali , Vice President ; Nihad Ali , General Secretary; Mohamed Shabeeb , Treasurer ; Sajid Ettol , Joint Secretary Events ; Narayani S Kumar , Joint Secretary Corporate Relations ; Amanat Solanki ,  Joint Secretary Marketing and the coordinators .

With monumental expertise and experience across our alumni members, starting with the first batch in 1984, we aim to contribute to the wider community while fully respecting the intertwined cultures of both India and Qatar. From humble beginnings with around 240 members we stand strong at over 2,500 registered members as of now and still counting!! While majority of our members are based in Qatar our reach also extends to alumni currently based in India, USA, Canada, Europe, Africa, Australia and the Fareast.
