FIFA Club World Cup 2020 Local Organising Committee saw diverse volunteers recruited for making the edition a success. The country yet again delivered a successful edition of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2022. The volunteers all worked within COVID19 safety protocols. They played an important role in delivering a safe and entertaining tournament. There were limited number of fans who were allowed at the stand of Education City and Ahmad Bin Ali Stadiums where 6 teams belonging to 5 confederations travelled to the country for the competition.
There were 13 different functions where more than 100 volunteers helped out with just the ticketing station. They helped at the ticketing centre, where fans who all underwent COVID-19 test came to collect their ticket.
Qatar is due to host FIFA World Cup for the first time in less than 2 years in all of Middle East and Arab world. Keeping this in mind the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) has already received more than 290,000 volunteer applications from across the region.
