Qatar Rail has opened Doha Metro’s Green Line for public from today and it has been met with much enthusiasm and appreciation. Residents are already excited with the ease it will bring for travel across Qatar thanks to Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC). The current line has many benefits and along with this it completes the pilot operation for 3 of Doha Metro lines, Gold, Red and Green. Listed below are all the amazing advantages residents will reap thanks to this new Doha Metro line :
1. Green Line extends from Al Mansoura to Al Riffa making it easier for everyone to reach Mall of Qatar. (overheard through a conversation with the RJ Harsha and RJ Priyanka of Radio Olive)
2. There are 11 stations on the new Doha Metro line enlisted as follows: Al Mansoura, Msheireb, Al Bidda, The White Palace, Hamad Hospital, Al Messila, Al Rayyan Al Qadeem, Al Shaqab, Qatar National Library, Education City and Al Riffa (Mall of Qatar).
3. The intersection at Msheireb will allow travelers to switch between Red and Gold Line.
4. Football fans will be able to travel with ease to Education City Stadium for the Club World Cup final on December 21.
