A day to celebrate love. A day to celebrate togetherness.
Radio Olive 106.3 FM presents “Togetherness”, a chance for our lovely listeners in love to celebrate the beautiful moments with us. And what could be a better day than 14th Feb, Valentine’s day to celebrate “Togetherness?”
Valentine’s Day, The day got its name from a saint named St. Valentine. He was a priest from Rome in the third century AD. Emperor Claudius II had banned marriages as he felt that married men are bad soldiers. St Valentine thought it was unfair and started to arrange secret marriages.
When Emperor found it out, St Valentine was imprisoned and sentenced to death. There, St. Valentine fell in love with the Jailer’s daughter and on 14th feb before he was taken to be killed , he sent a letter to his lover signed “From your Valentine.”
This is the story behind “Valentine’s Day.”
