1. Rangoon

Shahid painted a unique picture with his portrayal of Nawab Malik. Set in the early colonial times, this is a movie which will give viewers a new perspective of love, betrayal and disaster. Added to that the stellar performances of Kangana and Saif they movie is a stealer. It was just due to this that Shahid’s performance was not appreciated as much.

2. Paathshala

This movie about Indian education system was made more spectacular for the character that Shahid played. The heartwarmingly humble role of the actor puts a smile on every face. If you do get to enjoy this movie, do so with an open heart to Kapoor’s acting.

4. Mausam

May be it was the wrong time to release it, or may be the audience couldn’t connect to it. Whatever the reason, Shahid’s efforts in the movie were very clear for all. Most say, it was the fast-paced character growth of Shahid in the movie which took away the sparkle. Even then, viewers should see the movie for the actor’s flawless skills.

4. Chup Chup Ke

Suggested for a light evening viewing, this movie had a great combination of Priyadarshan and Shahid. The latter proved his comic timing and easy malleability. He nailed the role completely even though it was a box-office flop. Watch it just for the fun scenes and Shahid completely acting as if unaware.

5. Padmaavat

The Bhansali Magnum Opus was an outright success, but everyone had the same issue with the movie. It did no appreciate Shahid’s character enough. Portraying the role of a suave and serious king with his own internal struggles, Shahid blended with the role well. Even then, much applause was taken away by the Deepika and Ranveer. Still, the role of Kapoor can not be sidelined.
