Club World Cup

FIFA Club World Cup 2020 will soon be played with all safety precautions in Doha after the previous delay in the schedule. The 17th edition of the Championship will now be held at Ahmed Bin Ali and Education City stadiums between 4th-11th February , the organizing committee confirmed.

They mentioned that all health protocols will be followed during the matches.

The protocols will apply to buying and selling the tickets as well as the fans attending the match.

Ticket sales will go live from Sunday, 24th January.

All pre and post-match press conference for the FIFA Club World Cup will be held via video conferences.

This is also a great way to execute the trial operations for World Cup 2022 for the stadiums.

Meanwhile all players and officials will be included in a strict medical bubble system for their own safety. The bubble will have regular COVID-19 tests, safe transportation, regular disinfection of the venues, training and media facilities.

As per guidance by the MoPH, only 30 % capacity will be allowed for all stadiums.

All who wish to attend will have to present a negative COVID-19 test result up to 72 hours prior to the match. Otherwise they will have to show evidence that they’re not required to take the test, such as proof of contracting the virus after 1 October 2020. Apart from thsis  proof of receiving two doses of the vaccine may be required.

For now, six clubs will compete at the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020, including Al Duhail SC, FC Bayern Munchen, Egyptian Al Ahly SC, Tigres UANL and Ulsan Hyundai FC.

The Tigres-Ulsan winners will move on to play the Copa Libertadores champions — Palmeiras and Santos will contest the final on 30 January — in the semi-finals.
