17TH DOHA JEWELLERY AND WATCHES EXHIBITION TO INCREASE EXCITEMENT

Qatar National Tourism Council held a press conference for the 17^th Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibition (DJWE). They shared with all the attendees, this time the event is much bigger. The event has been organised under the patronage of  H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.  The event is already looking up as there is a 65 per cent increase in exhibitors. H E Al Baker, Secretary-General of QNTC and Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways reminisced the last DJWE, “In 2019, 27,000 visitors attended the event, attracting many tourists to Doha for the first time. This year, an even greater number of visitors are expected as the event’s reputation grows”. This year’s exhibition has many attractions and Radio Olive 106.3 FM lists the main ones below :

1. The DJWE will see 127 exhibitors come under one roof.

2. The exhibition will take place from February 24 to 29 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

3. Last year there were 77 exhibitors from 10 countries which took part. 

4. In the 17^th edition of Doha Jewelry and Watches Exhibition, 53 local exhibitors showcasing more than 451 brands of jewellery and watches from 25 countries will be present.

5. This time the Bollywood celeb featuring for DJWE is Sonam Kapoor Ahuja who will also be the celebrity guest.

6. The area of exhibition is also increased from last year by 12 percent with almost 3,000sqm more added bringing the total exhibition area to 33,000sqm.

7. The exhibition is also to encourage the Young Qatari Designers initiative which will see 5 new designers showcase their work.

8. For the first time ever as Turkish Pavilion showcasing 11 local brands.

9. There will be an Indian pavilion too for the second time in a row featuring 28 home grown brands.
